Focalise Finance Supports Award-Winning Norfolk Holiday Park with Exciting New Play Area
Focalise Finance recently had the pleasure of supporting two fantastic local businesses on a truly exciting project — and one that’s sure to be a hit with families for years to come.
Applewood Countryside Park, located near Banham in Norfolk and proud winners of the Camping, Glamping & Holiday Park of the Year at the 2024 East of England Tourism Awards, has made a significant investment in a bespoke new play area. According to Applewood’s Director, Kiera Goymour, this addition is a key part of the park’s ongoing development:
“We already offer a wide selection of quality accommodation and amenities, as well as a calendar of events throughout the season, so it felt like a natural next step to increase the fixed on-site attractions.”
Designed by Norfolk-based play specialists CAP.CO — who were recently awarded a Royal Warrant for their work on play areas at Sandringham, Balmoral, and Windsor Great Park — the Apple Harvest Adventure Play is all about encouraging active, imaginative, and collaborative play for children of all ages. The result is a stunning, hand-crafted play area full of character and charm, with thoughtful details inspired by the apple orchards that once stood on the site. The space features five impressive wooden structures, blending familiar play elements with creative, bespoke design. Highlights include monkey bars, crawl tunnels, play panels, a giant tractor with a slide, and a trailer featuring a clamber net, rope ramp, balance beam and more. There’s also a toddler-friendly crate tower and a play trail complete with apple-picking ladder frames, offering something for every age group to enjoy.
